Today we are launching new, more powerful models with increased context windows on Poe, including the just-released Claude 2 with its 100k-token window length, along with a set of new tools to help everyone take advantage of them. These new tools and models have made Poe much more useful in our personal experience while developing them, and we are excited to be able to share them with the world.
File uploading, available on web and mobile web, allows anyone to take a file and add it to a message on Poe. We process the file to extract the text and show the contents directly to the model as part of the conversation.
URL retrieval acts similarly to file uploading for any external URLs that you add into messages on Poe, and is available on all platforms, including our native iOS and Android applications, along with web and mobile web.
Continue chat lets you take any Poe conversation that anyone has shared publicly, and import a copy of their conversation into your own private chat with the same bot so you can continue the conversation. This feature is available on web and mobile web, and will be coming soon to iOS and Android. And best of all, continue chat is compatible with file uploading and URL retrieval, so if you upload a document, you can share your conversation with anyone else in order to let them ask the bot their own questions in the context of the document.
Along with these features, we are excited to launch new models:
Claude 2, with its 100k-token context window, available free to all users today! Claude 2 brings a major capability improvement over the previous version of Claude (which was called Claude+). The improvement is most notable in coding, math, and complex reasoning tasks. We are also excited to make Claude instant, with its 100k context window, available free to all users on all platforms with increased limits. The 100k-token context window is enough to hold a medium-length book in most languages.
ChatGPT-16k and GPT-4-32k are also now available on Poe. These models are especially useful with these new features. They are initially available exclusively to Poe subscribers, but we hope to bring them to everyone over time.
As always, all models on Poe are available on all platforms: our web and mobile web product at poe.com, and our native iOS and Android applications. Thanks to our cross-platform sync, you can start a conversation on any platform with any bot and continue it yourself on any other platform. And thanks to continue chat, you can now share any of your conversations with any bots with anyone else so that they can continue them.
